ABOUT VERESTA










Veresta is a studio committed to an architecture of details — a pursuit of precision, weight, and material truth at the scale of the hand. Founded in Los Angeles and Mexico City, Veresta designs and produces hardware that translates spatial intent into tactile form.

Veresta grew from our personal research and dialogue with Idesta and the work of Sigurd Lewerentz, whose late projects embody a faith in the human scale as the bearer of architectural meaning. Like Lewerentz’s emphasis on detail, we approach hardware not as accessory but as architecture in miniature: the hinge, the latch, the handle — each a moment where fabrication, design and ritual meet.

Founded by Max Eddo Ostrow and Padraic Mittag-McNaught, both holding Master of Architecture degrees from the Yale School of Architecture, Veresta is informed by their experiences across multiple offices and their shared background in architecture, grounding the work in discipline and proportion, while our independent practice seeks to recover traces of intimacy and authorship within the functional object.
